Ikura Capital Group is a private equity firm that focuses on medium to long term, viable investment with potential for robust and sustainable returns. The firm is looking into investing across industries, with specific emphasis on infrastructure, manufacturing, rail, mining, energy and the property sector. The mandate and scope of the fund is to zoom-in on assets within the Continent, with specific focus on South Africa and the SADC region. Specialist Managers will identify, develop and package equity participation in the target assets. Our investment focus is in both the public and private sector, as well as in PPP’s – Public Private Partnerships. The firm has experienced management with the capacity to raise capital and structure deals for large projects as well as the capability to deliver and manage project transactions.

Thabiso Kgosana (MD)

Thabiso Kgosana has a B.A. Hons Degree from the University of Pretoria. He is looking at being accepted into the MBL Programme with Unisa. He has lived, studied and worked in Japan for over 5 years where he also completed Studies through JICA in Business Development including Policy Formulation and Management of SME’s. His experience in the development, implementation, procurement, financing and management of diverse Business Development Programmes both in South Africa and Asia is well proven and documented. Thabiso also has vast experience in the facilitation of customised risk, skills development and change management programmes, including the overall transformation and capacity building of large organisations. He is an excellent marketer and a well-rounded strategist, with extensive experience in both fields, and draws strength and personal growth from a huge pool of network he has built through the years in both the public and private sector. He was previously employed by Alexander Forbes South Africa as an Accounts Executive with the Risk Services Metals and Minerals (Mining) Division; was the Group Marketing Director of the Open Learning Group, and not long ago was the Chief Executive Officer of Ikura Holdings, an Investment Company in partnership with one of the largest Empowerment Companies in the country the Amabubesi Group. He is currently the Managing Director of ICG Holdings, a Mergers and Acquisitions Business specialising in Strategic Investments; he is also an Associate Partner at ICP – Ikura Capital Partners, a recently formed Private Equity Joint Venture partnership between ICG Holdings and RMB Corvest. He is a Partner at Cyberia Group, a Company specialising in Innovative ICT Solutions across the spectrum; he also runs and manages Kodejare International Consultancy with strategic focus on Deal Sourcing and Structuring. As an avid-activist, he is involved in a variety of business and commercial structures such as NAFCOC, BUSA, BBC and the BMF.
